As I said in the last post, this week I have in high rotation Sonic Youth’s Dirty album, one of my favorite songs is Nic Fit because it’s fast, efective, violent and you won’t understand it if your first language is not english (that was my case), but still is a great song. However, it’s not a Sonic Youth song, the original one is from deceased punk band Untouchables. (mp3 at bottom)…. nic fit nic fit nic fit nic fit nic fit…..

Como dije en el post anterior tengo una fiebre con el Dirty de Sonic Youth esta semana, una de las canciones que me agrada por su particularidad es Nic Fit, r�pida, efectiva, violenta y ciertamente inentendible para alguien que su lengua principal no sea el ingl�s (ese fue mi caso), pero no por eso deja de ser una joya. Sin embargo no es original de Sonic Youth sino de la desaparecida banda punk Untouchables………. nic fit nic fit nic fit nic fit nic fit…

Sometimes I forget how much I like Sonic Youth, this week I had in high rotation the Dry album and suddenly (while I was rocking with Nic Fit) I thought that a cover post would be nice. I started to search and I found a lot, but I stopped it because I think this page has a looot of information about Sonic Youth covers. Enjoy it.

A veces se me olvida lo MUCHO que me gusta Sonic Youth, esta semana he tenido en alta rotaci�n el Dry y de repente me dije por qu� no hacer un post de covers, haciendo b�squedas encontr� una gran gama de versiones que desgloso al final, se que existen muchas m�s pero no las coloqu� porque prefiero que ustedes mismos las vean en esta gran p�gina que encontr� de la banda.

I’m still on vacations BUT I wanted to make a quick post to my readers from New York.

Days ago I read a post on Nuyorker about the current Richard Prince’s exhibition on Guggenheim. I didn’t know the story behind the cover of Sonic Youth’s Sonic Nurse until I read that post.

So, in order to shorten the note, the exhibition finish on January 9th and thanks to an astonishing movement by myself (not been seen by a museum employee.. duuh!) and a camera without flash I could photograph that picture

Por mi parte sigo vacacionando, pero este es una nota r�pida a los lectores y amigos “nuyorquinos” que quer�a hacer.

Hace d�as vi un post en Nuyorker sobre la actual exhibici�n de Richard Prince en el Guggenheim, confieso que no sab�a cual era el origen de la portada del Sonic Nurse de Sonic Youth hasta que le� ese post.

Bueno para acortar el cuento, la exhibici�n est� hasta el 9 de enero, y en un acto de audacia de mi parte (el vigilante no me ve�a.. duuh!! ) y de c�mara sin flash pude tomarle foto al susodicho cuadro.
