Ok, people were sending me emails about my opinion on Radiohead’s album (really don’t know why :$ ).
Anyway, my first reaction was: ok, this is good stuff… but not THAT exaggerated good.

Nonetheless, I couldn’t let “In Rainbows” passes under the table. We all know the importance this album has in this Leak Era of music, so, I took the necessary time to listen to it and tried not to read blogs and yada yada yada.

Radiohead really are “something” nowadays, first with OK Computer, then Kid A, now In Rainbows… despite of the “it’s up to you” effect, it was really cool to wait for the release of an album (not the leak), and share the moment as everybody in the whole world did, for that reason thank you Radiohead.

Now, musically speaking, as I said, I keep my point of view, In Rainbows is really good stuff (best of 07 stuff) but not that over_____ (fill the blank as you wish) good. I was expecting something far away from the trend the band started with Kid A, but no, this sounds more like The Eraser….. that’s not a bad thing; I just wanted the good old days.

Whatever… Radiohead did it again, the wait was worthy.

BTW, I paid 0 pounds for these 160 kbps w/ no cover tracks, but don’t worry, I’ll wait for the physical release.

Ok, lectores me han mandado correos sobre mi opinión del disco (realmente no se por qué :$ ), de todas formas, mi primera reacción fue: “esto es muy bueno, pero no TAAAAAAN bueno.

No obstante, no pude dejar pasar “In Rainbows” bajo la mesa. Todos ya sabemos la importancia que tiene el disco en esta Era de los Leaks en la música, por esa razón me tome el tiempo necesario para digerir el álbum, evitando en lo posible no leer blogs ni noticias al respecto.

Radiohead realmente representa algo grandioso, primero con OK Computer, luego Kid A ahora In Rainbows. Sin considerar el efecto del “paga lo que quieres”, fue realmente agradable sentir nuevamente esa sensación del lanzamiento de un álbum (no el filtro), y compartir las impresiones en el mismo momento que lo hacía alguien en no se… Australia, por esa simple razón agradezco a la banda.

Ahora, musicalmente hablando. Como dije antes el disco estará en las listas de lo mejor del año, y a pesar que es muy bueno, no lo considero tan “obsesivamente, corta venas” bueno
Esperaba algo alejado de la tendencia que la banda tomó a raíz de Kid A, no obstante me parece muy cercano a The Eraser, y no es que sea malo, sino que quería retomar los viejos tiempos de la banda.

Indistintamente de lo que quería o no, la banda lo hizo nuevamente, y la espera realmente valió la pena.

Por cierto, pagué 0 libras por este zip de 160kbps y no cover, pero no se preocupen, esperaré el lanzamiento en físico del disco.
