No Promises viene a ser la continuación del aclamado Quelqu’un M’a Dit del 2002. Es un alivio saber que Carla no cambió su estilo al querer incursionar en el mercado anglosajón, este disco suena totalmente a la Bruni de siempre, hasta su inglés suena francés. Duh!!!
Eso si, aclaremos algo…. Superar el disco anterior iba ser bien difícil y con este no lo logra pero mantiene la esencia, por no decir que suena exactamente al anterior pero en inglés.
No tengo más que acotar sino recalcar que si te gustó Quelqu’un M’a Dit pues escucha este que junto a un café, en un domingo y con Befote Sunset de película estás hecho….y si llueve pues es un plus.

No Promises is the follow-up of the acclaimed Quelqu’un M’a Dit from 2002. It’s good to know that Carla didn’t change her style when she decided to enter to the American music industry. This album sounds totally Bruni, even her English sounds French.
Let’s get this clear, it’s difficult to exceed Quelqu’un M’a Dit…. and No Promises couldn’t do it, but at least it keeps the sound of the first album… only that is in English.
If you liked Quelqu’un M’a Dit, you’ll enjoy this one…. recommended on a Sunday, with coffee, with Before Sunset movie…. and if it’s raining, much better!!

En el 2002 decidió darle un cambio a su carrera, dejó a un lado las pasarelas e incursionó en la música por la puerta grande con el disco Quelqu’un m’a dit, la crítica y el público recibió este trabajo con gran entusiasmo.
Las 12 canciones que componen el álbum están relacionadas al género Chanson… de acuerdo a la wikipedia entiéndase esto como: “cualquier canción con letra en francés, y más específicamente a piezas vocales de tipo lírico”…
En realidad no hay problema alguno si no entiendes ni papa lo que canta, lo especial de cada pieza hace que te dejes llevar por lo bonito de cada track.
Yo me topé con este CD al escuchar su canción himno Quelqu’un m’a dit en un comercial de Nescafé en Internet… desde ese momento quedé enganchado y no he parado de comentarlo y recomendarlo a cualquier persona que guste de buena música (y bien que ganas puntos). Y es que escuchar a Carla Bruni es eso, pasar un momento casero, ya sea solo o en compañía de alguien especial y disfrutar / compartir de las melodías.
Veredicto: Para mi este es uno de esos CD’s clásicos que siempre tendrás de cabecera y al escucharlo nuevamente de A a Z te harán recordar aquellos momentos de compañía o no, pasar despechos yada yada yada y demás cursilerías…… (si, yo también tengo mi corazoncito y que!!!)
Para enero de 2007 publicará su 2do disco llamado No Promises, esta vez cantado en inglés, esperemos iguale o supere lo que ha cosechado a la fecha.

To listen Carla Bruni is to be in your home, with that special one or alone and E N J O Y the music
Verdict: For me this is one of those classic Cd’s you’ll always listen over and over from A to Z, it will let you remember those great moments in company or alone yada yada yada and all that cheesy stuff.
On January 2007 she will release her second album named No Promises, this time the album will be in English, I’m hoping with great expectations the final result.
