[PSA] Vacations… Lollapalooza!!

Hi people… this blog is on “vacations” ’til August 11th (or 12th).. tomorrow I’m leaving to Lollapalooza (wooo!!), rest a little bit and then finish @ All Points West. Probably I’ll update something (but I don’t think so) in the blog or in my flickr, anyway remember to check the AT&T webcast this friday!!!

7 Hell yess, the d-day, Grizzly Bear finally played their new song “Two Weeks” at Letterman… at least some of you could watch it yesterday live…. ( I had to wait for a youtube link grrrrrrrrr). The song’s pretty awesome!!!, can’t wait for the new album.
SII!!!, el día-d, lo que estábamos esperando, por fin Grizzly Bear tocó su nueva canción “Two Weeks” en Letterman… al menos los lectores norteamericanos pudieron verlo ayer en TV… (yo tuve que esperar por un link de youtube). La canción fenomenal, no puedo esperar a que salga el nuevo álbum.

La Blogotheque :: Man Man
1 Excellent, today I’m reading that La Blogotheque made a new edition of Take Away Show with Man Man. Days like this one I become a fan, a groupie, and start to sing out of tune.
They have shown 5 videos, I made the Mp3 conversion without edition.
Enjoy them as much as I did.
Excelente que La Blogotheque haya hecho una edición con Man Man con noticias como esta es que se cristalizan definiciones como orgasmo, fanatismo, groupie, desafinar cuando nadie me ve.
5 videos subieron, hice la conversión en MP3 tal cual los videos, no quise cortar ni un momento, esto separado y nombrado de acuerdo a los capítulos en que se presentan. Disfruténlo tanto como yo lo hice

Dark Knight, Joker.. and a Batman Vintage OST

POW!, PAW! KAPPOOW! oh yeap!… I’m a Batman fanboy and last friday I went to the premiere of The Dark Knight.
Did I like the movie? OF COURSE!!!, I felt like that was the second coming of Jesuschrist, with Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.
Heath Ledger was amazing, he stole the whole show with an Oscar- worthy performance…. and yep, this is my objective opinion. Go and watch the film instead of reading this!!!
But, this is a music blog, so I have to share some music around Batman. Here there’s a link with an OST of 1966 of the Batman’s TV Series… Vintage love!!!

Que si me gustó? Por supuesto!!!! sentí que había visto la segunda venida de Jesucristo junto con Marilyn Monroe y Elvis Presley.
Heath Ledger estuvo genial robándose el show con una actuación merecedera del Oscar… y si, estoy siendo MUY objetivo con esto. Asi que vayan a ver el film en vez de seguir leyendo esto.
Pero, como esto es un blog musical aquí comparto con uds. música relacionada a Batman, específicamente el soundtrack de la serie de TV de los años 60′s…. todo muy vintage

0 I woke up with Apostle of Hustle’s “Baby, You’re In Luck” in a loop, don’t ask me why. In youtube there’s just ONE video of that song from a live performance of Apostle at Zulu Records, also he’s singing My Sword Hand’s Anger another great song. Grab the mp3 at bottom.

[verdict] Xiu Xiu :: Master of the Bump (video)
0 Xiu Xiu is a band very very weird / strange for me. Yesterday I read about their controversial new video for the song “Master of the Bump” and ok…. first let me talk about the song.
The first time I listen any song (an english one) I don’t pay attention to the lyrics, just the melody. Even though that song was “ok”.. the final note, a string guitar, gave me the chills. (minute 3:14 of the song 
), a standout ovation for that ending.
Now the video, it came to my attention some Gus Van Sant and Dennis Cooper references, so I was having an idea about it and after watching the whole video… yes, it let me a little bit intrigued and disturbed.
Siendo sinceros la banda Xiu Xiu nunca me ha terminado de convencer, son MUY extraños para mi. Ayer lei que anda rodando un nuevo video “controversial” de ellos, y algunas personas hacían referencia que era “un cuento de Dennis Cooper dirigido por Gus Van Sant” (asi que ya se podía tener una idea por donde iba la cosa)
Antes de verlo busqué la canción en cuestión. Si bien no le prestaba atención a la letra sino a la melodía, no era nada del otro mundo hasta que al finalizar, en el minuto 3:14, hacen una nota de guitarra que corta bruscamente el estilo de la canción y te entra en toda la espina (muy distinto a piel de gallina jeje), aplaudí ese final.
Ahora, con respecto al video…. pues si, me dejó bien intrigado y perturbado.
