First Impressions:

I’ve never been a hard Beastie Boys fan, nonetheless I was expecting this album just for one reason: “no vocals”. The band made a 180-degree change in its music, no sampling, no rap… just instruments. The result is pretty impressive and enjoyable.

12 tracks featuring a funky, lounge, psychedelic mix. It’s not as loudly as everybody would expect, in fact it’s more a chill out, de-stressing album.
At first listening it’s a pleasant cd, a little bit shocking to fans of their prior works but it will generate new listeners for the band.

It’s said they have plans to do a second version of this album incorporating vocals from “mostly newer vocalists”

Primeras Impresiones:
Yo nunca he sido un gran fanático de Beastie Boys, sin embargo tenía expectative de este nuevo trabajo por la simple razón que no iba a tener voces. Por ello, la banda hizo un giro de 180° en su estilo: nada de sampleos, nada de rap… sólo instrumentos. El resultado es realmente disfrutable.

12 tracks en el que se desencadena una mezcla de funk, lounge y un estilo psicodélico. No es tan “fuerte” como se podía haber esperado, de hecho es un trabajo desestresante y más bien de corte chillout. A la primera escucha debo decir que es un trabajito bien agradable, puede que sea medio chocante para fans acérrimos de sus últimos trabajos, pero sin duda va generar nuevo público para la banda.

Se habla que realizarán una segunda versión del álbum, incorporando voces de colaboradores.
