Restoring iPod I: Nina Simone – Just In Time

Por un acto de mala praxis se reseteó completamente mi noble y fiel iPod, luego de pasar por todas las posibles etapas ante tal circunstancia: negación, hiperventilación, temblores, depresión, rabia y aceptación, llegué finalmente a “reírme” de lo ocurrido. En fin, no puedo más que empezar a cargar la música que tenía en un principio.
Un buen amigo ( ya pasado en años 
) me dijo que lo bueno de estos percances es que te liberas de cierta música que la tenías por su apego sentimental, asumí ese comentario posiblemente a una mala experiencia o recuerdo que haya podido tener.
No estaba equivocado, sin embargo, este caso en particular representa todo lo contrario. Cuando me encontraba pensando las canciones que no tenía en físico y que debía recuperar, la primera que llegó a mi mente fue “Just In Time” de “Nina Simone”
La primera vez que la escuché fue en la escena final de la película Before Sunset, excelente película, y esa escena es un tributo a Nina. Entonces, ¿por qué el apego? Bueno, siempre hay cosas a la cual la relacionamos con algún evento, circunstancia o persona, tanto esta película y la canción es relacionado a una persona… el cual este no es el espacio donde comentaré al respecto.
El video abajo es la escena final de la película, si no lo han visto, pues no vean el clip que coloco para no arruinar la experiencia….. por cierto, considero esa escena como uno de los mejores finales de película que he visto…. (si, muy rosa)

My humble and faithful iPod almost died last week. After all the phases I went through: denial, hyperventilation, depression, fever, angry and acceptance, finally I could “laugh” about the incident, but now, I have to start to put music on it again.
A friend told me: “look at the bright side, thanks to this incident you finally could erase all the songs that has a “sentimental value” (a.k.a: bad experience)
He wasn’t wrong; nonetheless, my case is totally different. When I was thinking the songs I have to put on my iPod, the first one was “Just In Time” by “Nina Simone”.
The first time I heard it was in the final scene of the movie “Before Sunset”. That is an excellent movie, and that scene is a tribute to Nina. So, why did I choose it? Well, you know sometimes we relate song with circumstances, people, friendships, etc… this movie and this song is related to a good friend of mine, but I won’t talk about it. 
The next video is the scene I was talking about, if you haven’t seen the movie, please don’t watch this clip, by the way, IMHO, do you know this is one of the best final scenes in a movie?

En mi semana y media de experiencia ipodística, créeme que te entiendo… yo siendo tú me pego un tiro… en serio…
Lloro un poquito por tí, y elevo una plegaria al cielo para que recuperes lo mejor de lo perdido…

hermosa canción, hermoso final, hermosa película. Lo único, que es Before Sunset, no, Before Sunrise

@julia: y yo me hago llamar hiper fan de la película, corregido el detalle del título.. la cosa es que no me dejaste terminar, quise decir Before Sunrise “2″

a mi también me encantaron las dos… ahora mismo estoy mirando el poster de Before Sunset colgado en mi pared
