Fue un gran placer al leer el post de las 13 fotos que cambiaron al mundo el ver la gran fotografía de Philippe Halsman llamada Dalí Atómico (1948).

Halsman contó con una amplia trayectoria y auge, mucho de sus trabajos son íconos de la cultura popular que han quedado en la memoria de quien lo ve a través de los años. Colaboró con celebridades y artistas de la talla de Pablo Picasso, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Albert Einstein entre otros.

De cultura general:

1.- Supuestamente el realizar “Dalí Atómico” duró 5-6 horas y fueron 26-30 intentos, aunque la información no es precisa.
2.- La idea principal era capturar la esencia surrealista del pintor aunado con el auge que la “era atómica” estaba en aquella época de postguerra (átomos, protones, electrones = suspensión).
3.- El nombre de la foto hace referencia a su trabajo Leda Atómica, el cual aparece en la misma.
4.- A la cuenta de 3, los asistentes de Halsman estuvieron encargados de lanzar el agua y los gatos. (en una primera instancia querían lanzar leche, pero no se podía derrochar)
5.- A la cuenta de 4 Dalí saltó y un asistente “bajó la tarima”.
6.- La esposa de Halsman sostuvo la silla por una de las patas para que pareciera que hubiese sido lanzada.

Y voilá tienes una fotografía que recordarás para siempre, ya saben:

A la cuenta de 4: Salto (inspírate en Marimar… Ma Ri Mar… auuu y saltas)

It was a big pleasure when I read the post 13 photographs that changed the World, look at the photo of Philippe Halsman named Dalí Atomicus (1948).

Halsman was a successful photographer; a lot of his photos are great icons of popular culture that have been inside the memory of anyone along the years. He collaborated with celebrities and artist such as Pablo Picasso, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Albert Einstein among others.

FYI:
1.- Making Dalí Atomicus took 5-6 hours and 26-30 jumps, but this information is not precise.
2.- The principal idea was to capture and join the surreal essence of the painter with the rise of the atomic era in the moment of the post-war (atoms, protons, electrons = suspension).
3.- The name of the picture is a reference of Dali’s drawing called Leda Atómica. Actually that drawing is in the photo.
4.- At the count of 3, Halsman’s assistants threw the water and the cats. (Halsman and Dali had the idea of throwing milk instead of water… but in the post WWII era, you can’t waste milk)
5.- At the count of 4 Dalí jumped and an assistant “moved” the floor.
6.- Halsman’s wife moved the chair, so you can feel the suspension effect on it.

And voilá, you have a picture to remember forever, let’s see:
At the count of 3: Water and Cats.
At the count of 4: Jump
Then: The hairy hand should move the chair.
